Wind Turbines are Poor Source of Energy for Wind-Ridden Countries
Wind Turbines

A report has revealed that wind farms produces considerably less electricity and therefore is a poor source of energy for the wind-ridden countries like Scotland. The report commissioned by conservation charity the John Muir Trust and was carried out by the Consulting Engineer Stuart Young.  The report was conducted by measuring electricity actually metered as being delivered to the National Grid. The report also hinted that though the power generated by wind tribunes was less, it has also caused problems to the Grid.

Generally, it is assumed that wind farm will generate no more than 25% of maximum capacity over time. Moreover after one year the percentage will be slightly up or down.

It has come to light that the average output from wind on metered capacity was 27.18% in 2009 and 21.14% in 2010

The report clearly indicates that wind cannot be relied upon to provide any significant level of energy generation therefore there is an urgent need to re-evaluate the reliability on the wind tribunes.

There are few officials who are saying that figures presented are off the record. They are supporting their argument saying that there were others reports on wind tribune which was led by various independent firms, showed a lot of inconsistency. The officials further said that the trust is acting irresponsibly by giving their expertise lies, wind tribune is natural source of energy it is a health practice to generate electricity.
