Shopping Increases the Lifespan: Study

A new study suggests that shopping could help you live longer and it also helps in improving health. Shopping increases the lifespan of people, and it can lift the spirit of all ages.

Scientists revealed that people who have some physical and mental health problems, but they shop daily lived longer than those who did not shop.

According to an UK expert, shopping involves physical activity; social interaction and it also keep people mentally active.

This study was led by Dr Yu-Hung Chang of the Institute of Population Health Sciences, Taiwan. The study involved around 2,000 people aged 65.

The study found that those who shopped regular had a longer life in comparison to people who shopped once in a week or less than that. Older men were 28% more likely to live longer in comparison to the 23% of women. Researchers said that shopping is pleasure and as well as it increases the psychological wellbeing. They added that researchers shop frequently to get discounts.

Shopping is easier than any other physical activity, like exercise which usually requires a lot of potential and instructions.

David Oliver said that the study made sense and shopping helps in living longer life. He added that daily trip to any store extends your life.  The shopping includes the enjoyment of buying things and increases the life time.
