A Matter of Social Shame
Denise Scott

Reports claim that Denise Scott had defended a joke which was in a drama about autism. This was screened at the Melbourne comedy festival. This has caused serious offence and he is the only one to defend this thing.

Scott had cracked a joke during the film festival, although his joke was not targeted to the people who survive with serious disability but against those claim this condition as a sole behavior of a person.

In the performance, which was broadcasted on Channel 10, she said: “I can’t stand people who say they are alcoholic or have mild Asperger’s or a celiac, when the fact is they’re just plain old-fashion f***ed up people with a few behavioral problems. God knows I’d love to be celiac.

Imagine being able to say ‘Sorry I’m being such an arsehole, but I ate a bit of wheat for breakfast’”.

The head of Autism Victoria, Murray Dawson-Smith claimed that Denise had taken a very cheap shot towards people who are suffering from these problems.

Many YouTube comments claim that the show was a disgrace for the society. They believe that this has hurt their sentiments and it is a big shame on Denise for creating such kind of cheap jokes for the public.
