A person should avoid pollen intake and try remaining as clean as possible. A regular shower and change of clothes is a must. They can also use simple saline nasal rinse to clean the pollen already inhaled.  The freeze-dried stinging nettles can also be helpful for people with serious allergy problems. The supplement quercetin which is a bioflavonoid can also be used as an effective antihistamine.
