It appears that Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs is still having some health issues; that’s why a report has come out that Jobs will not be attending the annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday.
Confirming the report, Apple stated that Jobs will not take part in the annual shareholder meeting, for the first time since he rejoined Apple in 1997.
It’s not pretty surprising because Jobs is currently on medical leave until the end of June, and in his absence, Apple COO Tim Cook has been running day-to-day operations at Apple on an interim basis.
There has been a great hullabaloo about Jobs’ health among the investors and shareholders since last month, when Apple announced that Jobs would not perform his day-to-day duties because of health issues; he would take a medical leave until late June.
Now, in the absence of Steve Jobs, the Apple COO Tim Cook, who will likely be the master of all the ceremonies for the meeting on Wednesday morning at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, will definitely be getting a lot of questions about Jobs’ health on Wednesday’s meeting.
It will be interesting to see shareholders putting face-to-face questions to the Board of Directors that include the luminaries, such as Al Gore, Intuit Chairman Bill Campbell, and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
