A large dumper truck was found abandoned on the entrance of the headquarters of Quinn Group in County Fermanagh.
Preventing other cars from going in or out of the Derrylin premises, this truck has become a big hassle for the traffic in that area and there have also been speculations associating it with the decision by Anglo Irish Bank to remove founder Sean Quinn from his business empire.
Anglo Irish Bank recently appointed accountants, KPMG to take control of the Quinn family shares in the business as Mr. Quinn's family owes around £2.5bn to the bank.
Assuring the employees of no plans of retrenchment, Anglo Irish Bank Chief Executive Mike Aynsley stated that the family was not in a financial position to repay the enormous amount they owned to the bank.
Experts believe that there were mixed kind of feelings about Mr. Quinn's downfall in the area and there are so many people who have still not forgotten this major contribution to the local economy.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Spokeswoman stated, “Police in Enniskillen are investigating criminal damage caused to the front of commercial premises in Derrylin. At 12.30am a large earth-moving vehicle has been driven into bollards at the front of the property and abandoned, causing damage to the bollards”.
