Community Health System Facing Allegations for Overbilling
Community Health System

The Community Health System spoke in loud against the lawsuit filed by its rival, Tenet Healthcare and lodged a motion in the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on Tuesday. The company has justified its filed motion and said that the lawsuit that alleged highly expensive Medicare has no strong grounds and just a bunch of flaws.

On the other hand, the Tenet has blamed the Community Health for overbilling the patients and making profits illegally.

Meanwhile, the company has announced some changes to its existing offer of $5 per share in cash and $1 per share in stock to $6 per share in the cash to buy all outstanding shares of the Tenet Healthcare.

The bid was acquired on December 09 and the offer represented a premium of 40% over the Tenet's closing price on December. Later, the offer was turned down and claimed that the deal was not in the best interest of the company.

According to the Community health, it has always expressed a high enthusiasm for participation in constructive discussions to move the transaction forward without much delay.

The CYH has closed the regular trading on Tuesday at $31.2 on the NYSE.
