A recent report has revealed that UK’s Telecom operator, TalkTalk receives more complaints from its customers related to its landline and broadband services than any of its competitor firms.
About five million customers use TalkTalk in the UK, out of which, one thousand customers complained to communications regulator, Ofcom about the firm’s poor services. Following the complaints, TalkTalk agreed to pay £2.5m in refunds and compensated about 62,000 people. The action saved the company from paying multimillion-pound penalties to the government.
Data of previous five months unveil that the number of complaints from TalkTalk customers has increased by 1.78 per 1,000 customers. TalkTalk received four times more complaints than any other landline firm and three times more than the average number of complaints of a broadband firm. The company is performing worse than its biggest rivals BT and BSkyB.
Archna Luthra at MoneySavingExpert. com said that TalkTalk may win on price but it is losing its customers because of its service. Robert Hammond, from Consumer Focus has advised the people to consider customer service and not just price before choosing an operator.
