Alfred Taubman Becomes U-M's Largest Individual Donor

The University of Michigan has announced that Alfred Taubman has become U-M's largest individual donor. He has donated more than $142 million, which will be of great support for innovative medical science at the U-M.

Recently, Taubman has granted $100 million to the Research Institute. The funds will help in creating better treatments and cures for a wide variety of human diseases.

U-M President, Mary Sue Coleman says that the funds will bring most transformative days in the life of the University. The donation could make huge advances in science and research.

The University of Michigan has received enormous support from the NIH, National Science Foundation and other agencies but public agency has provided the type of support given by A. Alfred Taubman.

He is the owner of the one of the most unusual medical research organizations in the United States, Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute.

Mr. Taubman said that it’s a great honor to be part of U-M family and to contribute to the work of so many brilliant people. Their goal is to do excellent work in medical research at the University of Michigan for the society.
