Global Imaging Systems completes buyout of ComDoc

Global Imaging Systems, a Xerox Corporation company, has announced that it has completed buyout of ComDoc, one of the leading independent dealers of document management solutions.

However, Lochridge and Frank will continue in their positions at ComDoc, and Gordy Opitz maintains his role as the company's president.

Akron, Ohio-based ComDoc, founded in 1955, is an independent dealer selling copier products from various suppliers. The company currently employs 640 professionals and has offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia.

The latest buyout will expand Global Imaging's territory into four states, providing the company access to more than 14,000 customers, according to Xerox.

Global Imaging Systems operates through small and mid-sized businesses with regional core companies in the U. S. that sell and service document management systems such as printers, copiers and multifunction devices; network integration services; and electronic presentation systems.

The scrip of NYSE-listed Xerox Corporation closed on Wednesday at $5.65. It touched an intraday high and low of $5.78 and $5.32 respectively.
