According to an annual report of the American Lung Association in Wisconsin, it was disclosed that the quality of state’s air is getting better, which is good news.
The Director of Public Policy and Communications for the Association, Dona Wininsky, said that pollution is still there in the air, but overall the air quality is improving.
The annual report of the association has concentrated on ozone, particle pollution and pollution sources. The report has spoken about sources like coal-fired power plants and vehicle pollution etc.
The report revealed that the Green Bay and Madison are in top 25 countries for most polluted by the short-term particles; Wisconsin cities are also in top 25 countries due to ozone.
Dona said that clean fuels such as E-85 and the Clean Air Act will help America in order to fight for better environment, which means improved quality of the air.
Meanwhile, the American Lung Association revealed that the federal Clean Air Act will help in saving the lives of 160,000 people in 2011.
Dona added, "E-85, for example, reduces ozone and particle pollutants anywhere from 20 percent to 80 percent, and that contributes to cleaner air”.
The report also said that Honolulu and Santa Fe are the places where one can find clean air. Contrary, Los Angeles is the worst place for the ozone problem and the quality of the air is not good.
