Thousands of Campaigners Cheered the Health Care Reform Bill

Thousands of campaigners from across the Vermont cheered the last week's preliminary passage of the health care reform bill. Some of the campaigners also marched down State Street to celebrate the health care reform. The health care reform bill will lead to single health care system in Vermont.

The campaign was supported by the liberal groups, including unions such as; Planned Parenthood of Vermont, the Sierra Club, VPIRG, 350. org, Vermont Climate Action.

The campaigners believe that the universal health care bill, H. 202, was weakened by the insurance brokers and insurance companies.

Peg Franzen from the Vermont Workers' Center, the group that sponsored the event said that many more steps are required to be taken before the ultimate goal is achieved.

Walter Carpenter, a member of the Vermont Workers' Center, said that they still have a long way to go. A large number of efforts are still required to bring additional amendments in the bill.

Daniel Filstein, a UVM Student said that they want Vermont to set the example for the rest of the country. They will have to keep walking on the right track so that everything happens right in Vermont and rest of the country can follow it.
