Measles Widely and Largely Affecting Life

In Pennsylvania, last year was reported as a heavy year in terms of measles cases. This year is three steps ahead of the last year. Till now, three probable cases have already been reported in Bucks County this week and last week one resident of Camden County was also found suffering from the same.

In Europe, France is the country that is hardly been hit by measles, and the reason behind as stated by the health officials is due to lack of measles vaccinations for children.

Aiming to put a stop on the spread of measles, this week the international health officials have posted an alert and via this alert, they are trying to create more and more awareness of measles vaccinations among the travelers. They have recommended all those individuals who have not got the measles vaccination during their childhood, to get those two doses before travelling. In U. S. it is found that 89 cases recorded this year were brought by people coming from other countries.

In this regard, Dr. Joseph Miner, Director of the Utah County Health Department said "It (could be) our first measles in many years. It's a very serious disease so we want to control it. So far, we've done a pretty good job".
