According to a top climate panel discussion on Monday, it was concluded that renewable sources of energy such as wind and solar energy will be able to supply almost 80% of the world’s energy till next 4 decades. The renewable source of energy plays an important role in fighting global warming and all other climate changes.
But the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said that government would have to invest more, if they want to promote the benefits of the renewable energy.
The use of the renewable sources of the energy has been increasing day-by-day and the best part is that the prices are declining with the right policies. Renewable sources are best to deal with climate changes and also help poor countries to use solar and wind energies in order to develop their economies.
Ramon Pichs, the Head of the Panel, said that developing countries will be benefitted from the renewable sources. Some 1.4 billion people will get an access to the electricity.
The report was approved after four days discussion on Monday. Ramon Pichs lamented, “The report shows that it is not the availability of the resource but the public policies that will either expand or constrain renewable energy development over the coming decades”.
