In a system error in the T-mobile services in UK, many customers were made to pay for calls they had not even made. The company has apologized to the customers for the same and has promised that their funds shall be given back to them. The error affected many people across the UK and they had to pay for ghost calls.
The problem is believed to have affected 4% of the users of this brand, the billing systems of the firm are to blame for this mistake.
On the other hand, Ofcom, another major mobile service provider in the nation, has announced that it shall review its system for billing to make sure that no such problem arises for their customers.
There was the first spec of light showered on this issue when there was a blog in a consumer website Bitter Wallet that revealed the ghost calls.
"This problem has now been fixed. We'll be fully refunding every customer affected by this, a process which has already begun. We're really sorry and wholeheartedly apologize to any customers who have been affected by this issue”, said the firm.
The goodwill of the firm might have been saved this time due to quick reaction, but it might be damaged if something like this happens in the future.
