Over the last 3 years, the Mayor, Menino, has proved his leadership and attempted hard to keep his commitment to make Boston a world class cycling city, since Boston Bikes first introduced. He struggled hard to achieve his forecasted targets to transform Boston from one of the worst cycling cities in the country to the category of best. Even the League of American Bicyclists had applauded the Mayor for his dedication and work by naming Boston as a silver level Bike Friendly Community.
