Rosneft Looking Forward to Hold 5% Shares in BP

The next 12 hours would witness a noteworthy decision about the future of BP in Russia. Earlier, the deal was forecasted as a big deal. According to the deal, the Rosneft will hold a 5% shareholding in BP whereas; the BP would have emerged with more than 10% of Rosneft.

Previously, in the month of January, the Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, had supported the proposal publically. Victor Vekselberg, Mikhail Fridman and Leonard, members of the AAR have clued that they are looking for a price put, more than $70bn, on the entire TNK-BP. .

On the other hand, as per the BP judgments the TNK-BP acquires a lesser worth. The company has expressed its least enthusiasm to risk alienating its own shareholders by being seen to be paying too much for TNK-BP.

In case the BP remains blessed with the fortune, it would obtain the billionaire oligarchs' TNK-BP stake in collaboration with the renowned energy company of the Russia, Rosneft.

"Rosneft can probably work with any oil company in the world. It chose to do a deal with BP, not with TNK-BP. And it still wants to work with BP, not TNK-BP”, revealed a source considered close to the negotiations.
