Rise in Fuel Prices Bring a Downfall in the Capacity of Power Consumption

The increase in the prices of the gas has lead to deterioration in the willingness among people to commence touring these summers; as a result economy suffers a loss. The conventional summer driving season begins and yet there seems to be lack of enthusiasm in people to take up driving.

The fuel expenditure has demoralized people, they rather believe in being contented with whatever they have rather than spending on cars, clothes and various source of entertainment. As per Jeffrey Wayman of Cape Charles, “We used to do it a lot more, but not as much now," he said. "You have to cut back when you have a $480 gas bill a month".

The hike in the prices of fuel takes place just when most of the people did not receive an increment in their wages. Although with the set off of Memorial Day weekend there has been a fall in the prices of fuel, but the forecast is that the prices are expected to rise in 2011.

As per the recordings, 50 cent hike in cost of fuel took $70 billion out of the US economy within a year. The Commerce Department revealed that there was an increase of 0.1 in purchase of fuel; the graph showed a huge fall in consumption reasons being inadequate income of people.
