Comtech Telecommunications unit gets order worth $1.7 million

Nasdaq-listed Comtech Telecommunications Corp. notified that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., has secured an equipment order worth $1.7 million from a service provider who will utilize the equipment to support satellite-based cellular backhaul network expansions in South America.

It should be noted last month, Comtech EF Data has won a $1.9 million satellite communications equipment order, which will be deployed by the US military to support the expansion of an existing network.

Comtech EF Data Corp. manufactures a broad spectrum of satellite communications products, including Satellite Modems, Bandwidth & Capacity Management, TCP/IP Performance Enhancement Proxies, Encapsulators, Receivers, Converters, Amplifiers, Transceivers and Terminals.

At 10:34 am, the scrip of Parent Company Comtech Telecommunications was trading at $36.18, down 4% compared to previous close of $37.64
