It appears the Palm Treo Pro smartphone has heated up the US telecom market. On Wednesday, an announcement from Sprint came that Palm Treo Pro will be released on March 15, and the very next day, on Thursday, Alltel/Verizon Wireless announced the immediate availability of the Palm Treo Pro. Interesting, isn't it?
Alltel/Verizon stated that the consumers can buy the Palm Treo Pro online or at Alltel retail stores for $199.99 with a service agreement and after discounts.
According to Alltel/Verizon, the Palm Treo Pro operates using Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Edition. It has Wi-Fi, GPS, and EV-DO Rev. A support. The smartphone can function as a modem for a laptop.
The Alltel's Palm Treo Pro model features Internet Explorer Mobile 6, a 2-megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.5-inch, 320x320-pixel-resolution touch screen.
