The supposition that using mobile phones caused cancer could not be proved authentic even after carrying out several researches on the belief. As per a research, there was a negligible risk of tumors among the adults who used mobile phones from past 10 to 15 years.
In a report, World Health Organisation and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) claimed that there was an unsure link between mobile phones and cancer. Cell phones fell into Group 2B, which is linked to glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer. However, group 2B also includes: chloroform, marine diesel fuel, gasoline, and coffee.
As per a review of a study, done by Anthony Swerdlow of Britain's Institute of Cancer Research, on 13,000 cellphone users who were asked to recall the difference in the level of their phone usage in a decade, Swerdlow and his team also found that studies done by various countries could not find a strong link between the two. On the other hand, Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science found that as little as 10 minutes of using a mobile phone could trigger changes in the brain that are associated with cancer.
