A man, who in an accident lost both of his legs, got a new life when in November. The Spain's health ministry declared that he can be operated with world’s first double leg transplant.
Though the hospital authorities have hidden the identities of the patient and the donor but they have promised that next week they will surely be giving some details.
This was not the first time that the doctor–in-charge took the risk of conducting a double leg surgery; earlier also, he had conducted several miracles. In 2008, he did a successful first double arm transplant and in 2009, he executed the first face transplant in Spain.
Spanish Health Minister Leire Pajin patted on his back and said that the success of the surgery has opened the doors of hope among many patients who have suffering from amputations.
She also praised the kindness of the donor's family who gave a new life to the patient and has made the country to set an example of harmony for rest of the world. Since 1989, Spain has become a world organizer in organ donation at all hospitals which are closely observing all the emergency wards to recognize possible donors.
