AARDA’s AQ Plan to Calculate Autoimmune Disease

A lot of people in US have been affected by autoimmune disease as it has become a root cause of chronic illness in the country. Around fifty million people in America have been suffering from autoimmune disease.

Recently Kim Kardashian, the television personality, revealed diagnosis of the autoimmune disease psoriasis in her show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians". Alike her, celebrities like Toni Braxton and Lady Gaga also announced their diagnosis of life-threatening autoimmune disease and all these people shared their family history of the disease.

The American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA) has come out with a plan, called Autoimmune Quotient (AQ), where people can get the details about their own family history about autoimmune diseases. The AQ will help in revealing that how likely a person can develop an autoimmune disease, by the help of family medical history.

AQ can be calculated by knowing a few facts about the disease, like, people should be aware that autoimmune diseases target women 75% more than men. It comes through families, and if someone has a family history of the disease than doctor should be consulted for advice.

The people with family history should keep an account of the symptoms of the disease.
