GAA Bans Mark McGovern’s Suspected Attacker’s Investigation

According to reports presented by an Irish Examiner, San Francisco Police officials have declared that the GAA officials has given a 96-week suspension to one of the suspected culprit who was involved in Mark McGovern physical attack case.

However, giving his views about the ban, Joe Duffy, Ulster San Francisco club chairman, commented that the ban, which was passed by the San Francisco Competitions Control Committee, proved the fact that it certainly did not made any sense.

The whole controversy came into lime light when McGovern, a football player, suffered from serious brain injuries after his rival player, during a match in the American city, badly struck him.

Moreover, the reports further claimed that due to a lack of eyewitness testimony, the case investigation was delayed.

In the meantime, the victim’s hospital bill details too declared that the football player’s treatment due amount has reached to $1 million and a charitable fund has been established by the Irish community to support his family.

On the other hand, while describing the terrible incident, one of the spectators quoted that the Celts players were standing over him and they badly smacked the victim, while one of the players said, “You won't get up from that”.
