The parasite is commonly found in the ponds, lakes and other stagnant water bodies when temperatures rise. And, symptoms of the disease include change in the sense of smell or taste, fever, sudden headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion and loss of balance. As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statement, the disease is not communicable but spreads instantly resulting death in few days.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the most common recreational water illness (RWI) is diarrhea which gets introduced in the water through fecal traces and then gets stick to swimmer’s body. It is said that an infected fish destroys the whole pond like that diarrhea affected person stool which contains millions of germ could easily contaminate the water in a large pool or water park.
