The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services has approved an $850,000 grant to Alameda Health Consortium. On Thursday, the funding was sanctioned to the health consortium, which envelops eight community health centres in East Bay, with intent of assisting low-income kids join the low/no cost health facilities under Children's Health Insurance Program or Medi-Cal.
The endowment is part of a federal project to heighten conscription in health insurance ahead of the school year. HHS bestowed $40 million to 39 associations in 23 states, counting $5 million among five Californian organizations.
