After the new guidelines that have been issued in the abortion laws in Virginia, there is widespread discontent. These are the rules that are going to have to be followed by all the abortion clinics of the area. These rules have been added after General Assembly bill was passed earlier this year. It is of the view that there is a need for amendments to be made in clinics that offer abortion services in the area.

There are now going to be surprise inspections done on these clinics to find out whether they are abiding by the rules or not. The use of elective anesthesia shall also be banned, according to the new rules.

These new rules have been issued in interest of the health of the women who come for procedures in abortion clinics. It is to make sure that the equipment and the procedures being used here are in the best interests of the women and do not harm them in anyway. It has come as a response to the number of accusations that came in the past by people about the falling standards of care in the abortion clinics.
