AT&T And T-Mobile Provides Strong Defense

AT&T Inc and T-Mobile of the USA gave strong defensive reply to the Justice Department who said that their merger would make competition more intense and would not do well for the market.

They were of the view that their 39 million dollar deal would be of quite beneficial for mobile phone users and by restricting them, authorities are acting as a hurdle in the field of growth. They also stated in the court that there would be better services with less dropped calls and that too at economic prices.

If this merger gets a green signal then they would give a strong competition to Verizon Communications Inc, and other high-end telecom companies like Leap Wireless International Inc and Cellular South Inc.

AT&T Inc also revealed that in couple of years, it has lost many subscribers as now market is full of business models which provide services at lower costs and this has taken their customers to other services. But with this merger, they are expecting to make their come back.

Federal alleged that their union would not only increase the completion but it would also reduce the number of wireless providers but AT&T Inc was of the view that already there are five wireless providers in the market, except them and this is an evidence that their merger would only bring quality growth and not anything that would bring negative results.
