Two people were killed and 30 others were injured Tuesday when a bomb exploded on a passenger train in India's Assam district, officials said.
Police said the bomb, planted inside a coach car of the train, was detonated as it entered a railway station, the Press Trust of India reported.
Police said the militant group Karbi Longri National Liberation Front was suspected of planting the explosive. Among other things, the organization has called for an economic blockade in the Karbi Anglong region in Assam, where the explosion occurred.(UPI)
