The latest rumors about Apple say that the company will unveil next generation iPhone software tomorrow, on March 17. According to rumor mills, Apple will preview the version 3.0 of the iPhone OS software at a special invite-only event, at its Cupertino, California based headquarter.
According to rumors, Apple has invited selected number of reviewers, testers, and journalists to the special event where the iPhone OS 3.0 software will be previewed. The company will also reveal details about the new software developers kit.
In a live episode of Diggnation recorded at Austin's South by Southwest festival, Kevin Rose, Digg founder and show co-host, has confirmed that the feature would be a centerpiece of the new iPhone OS to be unveiled on Tuesday.
The rumor mills say that the invite-only event will start at 10 a. m. Pacific Time on March 17. The event is organized to provide the media a "sneak peek" at the iPhone OS 3.0 software. Town-hall like meeting, the tomorrow's event will be similar to past event, where Apple unveiled the iPhone OS 2.0.
Meanwhile, some more rumors say that Apple may soon launch "Premium" division of its App Store. The "Premium" will offer expensive applications, costing about $20 (about Rs. 1,020).
