An Indian boy, who was allegedly scorned by his classmates and friends for having eight limbs, has recently undergone an extended surgery to fix his cause. The operation was carried out in order to eradicate the parasitic twin erupting out of his chest.
Soon after the massive surgery, he disclosed his modified appearance and stumped all and sundry.
Deepak, 7, was born in Bihar, India, with an awfully atypical abnormality that made a semi-formed structure of his body, counting arms and legs, protruding from his torso.
His strange manifestation led him to frustration, embarrassment and being browbeaten at school and away, where children dubbed him a devil and freak.
However, the seven-year-old was considered as God by various Hindu people and communities. Some judge Deepak an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is frequently illustrated with more than four limbs. And hence, they frequently visited his house and expressed their happiness.
Deepak's family is of limited means and hence, a surgery was perhaps the last thing they could afford. But soon, Deepak's luck shined bright as medics from a famous Bangalore hospital proffered to carry out the complex and expensive surgery for no cost.
In May 2011, a four-hour-long surgery, pegged at almost $82,000, successfully fixed Deepak's plight and predicament.
