You can now control Boxee remotely through your iPhone! Well, Apple's iTunes store has a new application that changes your iPhone into a remote control for Boxee.

The free boxee remote app helps making iPhone compatible with every platform running Boxee. The app uses the wi-fi connection to connect iPhone to Boxee.

The free boxee remote app makes excellent use of the iPhone's touch screen to provide a Buttons and Gesture mode. In the button mode, the iPhone screen displays the standard up, down, left, right, OK and back buttons, and a volume slider and stop/pause buttons.

In the Gesture mode, the iPhone becomes a touchpad, in which you can drag an icon around the screen. The command you give on the iPhone will help changing selections on your TV. After you get a selection of your choice, you can go ahead with a simple tap on the iPhone to complete the process.

One of the interesting features of the app is that whenever a screen asks for text input, the iPhone keyboard automatically pops up on the screen that lets you write your entries on the screen.
