Today, renowned consumer electronics chain, JB Hi-Fi, has expressed confidence for good sales during this festival season, particularly on Christmas. The company has made a positive forecast inspite of a significant down fall in revenue,, during the previous three months till September.
While addressing gathered investors, during the annual shareholder meeting, its Chief Executive, Terry Smart, has raised concerns over challenging trading environment and notified that the company has faced most unfeasible conditions in past few months. Further, the officer has marked recently launched iPhone 4S as well as music sale, movies and game release as possible factors that can offer effectual assistance for sales, during this quarter.
In addition, Mr. Terry Smart has referred to the previous year figures and claimed that the company has outlined all needed plans to make best out of the festival season through exploring its gift giving products near to Christmas. "Whilst we expect underlying trading to remain subdued, we are still optimistic the Christmas trading period will be a successful one", he added further.
While commenting on the existing market scenario, Peter Esho, the City Index market analyst claimed that the lost position of JB Hi-Fi on the parameters of store sales reflects severely difficult business conditions for retailers as consumers attempted to reduce their expenditure. In addition, the analyst insisted that sometimes the group is also called as a resilient.
Mr. Esho also anticipated that the financial growth for the JB Hi-Fi's increasing number of stores will contribute for increasing benefits for the company.
