Airbus Project Brings More Jobs

UK was long worried about effects of economic downturn and was asking European countries to take certain measures for saving the economy from the greatest turmoil.

In this whole issue, David Cameron played major role by giving assurance to his country that he would not let economic crisis affect the nation, and also assured that UK is out of the danger.

During his various meetings, he was quite tensed about the same matter but it seems like the news of increase in employment rate in Broughton, sole manufacturing place in the UK, would give him a sigh of relief.

The Airbus North Factory, Flintshire has got a contract to make 550 ‘A350’ airliners by 2013 for which, a new plant would be set up by the company for £400m. Specialty of this project is that the new Airbus would be made of carbon-fiber, which will help in increasing fuel efficiency, and would provide additional 6000 job opportunities.

The novel model would make the airbus 25% more efficient than normal one of the same size, revealed the company, which said that it is not for the first time that the carbon fiber is being used in the airline buses, but earlier it was used in moderation.

Head of the project, Paul McKinlay said, "For our employees, this new factory - this aircraft - signals security of employment for the coming years at Broughton, and with 6,000 employees here that's absolutely great news”.
