The site for easy decision-making and management - Topicki - is the new tool in beta testing for the controversial site TheFunded, whereby entrepreneurs share information about venture capitalists and rate them.

According to the founder of TheFunded, Adeo Ressi, the most striking aspect of Topicki is its minimalism. It does not overload users with incomprehensibly extensive range of features; rather it focuses entirely on simplifying the decision-making process for the entrepreneurs.

Though the Topicki concept is somewhat similar to that of Zapproved, Topicki's approach is slightly different. While the Zapproved puts emphasis on combining with the user's existing workflow through email, Topicki unfolds a separate site for the visitors.

Elaborating on this aspect of Topicki, Ressi said: "When you're in email mode, you're just like, 'Reply, done, reply, done.' I want to take people out of email into a new system where they can actually think about these things for more than two minutes for a quick reply."

Though Topicki is indirectly related to TheFunded's VC-rating site, Ressi opines that it is just what he desired to achieve the broader goal of providing entrepreneur-specific tools.

In addition, Ressi says that making money from either Topicki, or even TheFunded, has never been his sole intention - rather he considers his company to be a "do good" one , sans the burden of being a nonprofit entity!
