By the next 10 years, South Africa would witness 300 specialists, promised Discovery Chief Executive Jonathan Broomberg, who said that they understand the need of trained staff in the health care system. Therefore, they have united hands with Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and would work to increase the employment rate in the health sector.

Jonathan said that Discovery has full support for Aaron’s human resource strategy, and would do their best to not only increase the quantity, but quality as well. Discovery Health staff was found to be welcoming the news, but they were skeptical that Aaron could take it as a measure to censure the private health sector. And, it seems concerns of staff was not wrong as with the announcement of the plan, Aaron was found to be criticizing the private sector, and did not hesitate to term the sector as ‘monster’.

As per Aaron, he would be bringing back some of the good doctors, who have switched to private sector in order to insure that public sector, could function, well, and is also able to give quality medical care to its patients. Some of the other plans, except getting doctors back in to the public sector are to bring changes in existing hospitals, to open a medical college, and most importantly to increase the number of medical seats in universities, every year.

By this he would become a part of students’ dream, who aim to pursue their career in medical field, and Aaron has also promised that he want to make medical career as a rewarding one.
