An Egg A Day Keeps A Doctor Away!

If there could be a ‘World Hand wash Day’, ‘World Environment Day’ and ‘World Labor Day’, then why not ‘World Egg Day’!

Thinking that ways, Colorado egg farmers and the Colorado Egg Producers Association are celebrating the ‘World Egg Day’ on Oct. 14, 2011. Egg has been a part of culture of many countries, and there it has been associated with positivity and joy. Similarly, in food industry it has been named as an important component of nutrition. Taking the opportunity, Jerry Wilkins from the Colorado Egg Producers Association wants to make aware people that eggs could be consumed 12 months, as there is a big misconception in many countries that eggs should not be consumed in summers, and are meant to be taken in winters alone.

With this fact, Jerry was also affirmed that consumption of egg is quite vital for people, of all age group, therefore this day could be a start of a noble cease in which money should be raised for those who wants to, but do not have money to eat eggs.

Different countries, different are the ways to celebrate the day, and there would be lot of food competitions, in which it would be assessed that who could make a new dish by using eggs, bakery completion would be held, as eggs are an important of it, narration of best use of egg in daily life would be held. Even researchers have also claimed that it is rich in proteins.
