It has been revealed in a recent report that the South London Healthcare is in the list for being the most complained about bodies in the NHS hospitals of the nation. This has been revealed in a recent report conducted by the NHS Ombudsman, that the trust is one of the poorest ranked hospitals in the country.
The trust was set up in the year 2009. This was after the merger of the Bromley Hospitals trust, Queen Mary’s Sidcup NHS trust and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust. The number of complaints received this year is 95. This has been upped from the 88 it was a year earlier.
It was revealed by the Ombudsman Ann Abraham that the NHS is moving at a very slow pace for making removing its faults. It was further added that there was need for quick action to be taken on some of the plans that are in the pipeline since a long while.
There are many problems in the treatment and the clinical area that need the immediate action by the trust. There is need to deal with the many shortcomings in the hospitals, so that they regain their lost poise and are back on tracks for being some of the finest care homes in the world.
“We take patient complaints extremely seriously and are continually working towards improving our services for patients. Our patient relations team is working with staff groups to strengthen our internal complaints processes and improve response times”, revealed a spokesperson from the SLHT team.
They are further of the view that they are trying their best to make up for the past losses so that their hospital could decrease the number of complaints received every year and make the place better for the patients.
