George Washington University, Washington D. C, on Tuesday witnessed the launch of the GW + Phones = Hope campaign in the presence of Chelsea Clinton. Ms. Clinton is serving as board member of the William J. Clinton Foundation as well as the founder of Every Mother Counts, Christy Turlington Burns.
During the event, Chelsea was observed in simple dressing wearing T-shirt and jeans along with elegant simple jewelry. The event can be considered to offer great help for several African health-care projects.
As per reports, the GW + Phones = Hope campaign aims to work in collaboration with the national nonprofit Hope Phones in order to collect phones for benefiting maternal health programs to be organized in Democratic Republic of Congo along with Nepal.
Sources have notified that the Hope Phones have tailored programs to recycle the phones as well as for making best use of proceedings to support the fund mobile health technology. While briefing the campaign, the Campaign Manager for Hope Phones, Tierney O'Dea said: "We use those funds to buy new appropriate phones for the field that has our software on them and make them into medical communications devices".
The GW campaign has expressed enthusiasm to gather handsome support through retrieving more than 20,000 phones from faculty, students as well as from the active participation of the community.
Earlier in September, the former first daughter created a page on the Facebook and interviewed Mrs. Clinton live in Clinton Global Initiative. Afterwards, the IAC, a renowned media company that belongs to Barry Diller, claimed that 31-year-old Chelsea Clinton will be joining it. She is doctoral student.
As per the reports, the former President of the United States, Bill Clinton has celebrated his birthday on Saturday.
