Soon after coming back from Cuba, the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, has attracted controversies over his health. It has been reported that a surgeon called Dr. Salvador Navarrete has alleged that Hugo Chavez has just two more years to live. However, the President has denied the allegations saying that he was never treated by Dr. Salvador Navarrete.

The comments by Dr. Salvador Navarrete were made last week. He said that the tumor of Hugo is in its last stage which is hard to be treated. To prove Dr. Salvador Navarrete wrong, a team of three doctors made appearance in the public claiming that by Dr. Salvador Navarrete was never a part of the team of doctors who treated him.

They further informed that Hugo contacted by Dr. Salvador Navarrete once in ten years. They were reported saying, "The president, from the standpoint of cancer, has been diagnosed and treated early. Subject to the appropriate follow-up treatments, the current status is quite satisfactory with an excellent prognosis".

The secrecy kept over the type of cancer that Hugo had has made the public doubtful over the actual health condition of him. Moreover, comments of Dr. Salvador Navarrete appeared in the Maxican popular magazine Milenio has further made public doubtful over the life expectancy of Hugo.

On being interviewed, Dr. Salvador Navarrete informed that Hugo cancer is located in the pelvis. Following the revelations made by Dr. Salvador Navarrete, a team of independent investigators went to Hugo's residential area and office to check for his medical records.

But due to some unidentified reasons, Hugo flew to some undisclosed area of Venezuela with his family. Hugo is looking forward of standing in the coming Presidential election. But if his health conditions are not favorable then there is possibility of him being restrained from standing in the elections.
