Tanning In Morning Is the Best, Claims Study

Morning sun rays are best suited for a healthy sun tan, as the protein, which helps in repairing the cancer affected cells is found in abundance.

Contrary to it, if a person takes sun bath in the afternoon, he is likely to get skin cancer, and the risk of getting diagnosed with cancer is as much as five times higher. Therefore, a study was being conducted, which has concluded that UV rays in the morning are most effective.

So, it has been advised that if a person wants to get a sun tan or wants to visit tanning booth, he should prefer early mornings. The US researchers were of the view that they have conducted an experiment on mice and have found that mice being nocturnal, their body clock is reversed in comparison to humans.

The XPA protein is the one, which helps in repairing the damaged DNA, and the best time for humans for getting sun tan is at 7am. Professor Aziz Sancar, who led the mice research at the University of North Carolina, said 'our research would suggest that restricting sunbathing or visits to the tanning booth to morning hours would reduce the risk of skin cancer in humans'.

The research that got published in the `National Academy of Sciences journal' would now start conducting human trails to assure that sun bathing is best before noon.

The researchers through the study are trying to pass on the message that if one wants to sport the tanned look, he should get it done early morning, and should apply spray tan and creams before going for sun tan.

The reason for using sun tan cream is that they minimize the tanning negative effect and helps in getting the right sun tanned look. Experts are of the view that one should try alternative ways as well to get that tanned look.
