Lula to undergo Chemotherapy for Throat Cancer, Political Future under Clouds
Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva

In a recent report, it has been confirmed that Brazil's most popular president would soon be undergoing chemotherapy. It was confirmed that Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva was found to have a 2-3 centimeter tumor in throat on October 29.

However, the good news is that the cancer was diagnosed at right time so there is fair possibility that he would be cured. So far, doctors have informed that three sessions of outpatient chemotherapy would be required, though there are chances that hair loss would occur and even beard would suffer due to treatment.

It has been widely accepted that Lula has done a lot for making Brazil world's seventh- largest economy. There was a point when 21 million Brazillions were living under the scar of poverty and none other than Lula came forward to listen to their woes.

The most amazing part was that Lula was being respected by one and all, including his critics who were of the strong belief that Lula would surely run for president again in 2014, but this recent development has somewhere down the line crashed the hopes to see the magnetic Lula back on the position which he left with a massive success rate of 87%.

In response to the report, successor of Lula, Dilma Rousseff, who has faced lymphoma in 2009, told that she is quite positive that Lula would seam through this difficult time soon.

"As president of the republic, ex-minister of Lula, but above all as a friend, comrade, sister and admirer, I will be at your side with my support and friendship", she added further, while claiming that Lula is an example for other to look up to. Even this has been told that in the hospital where Rousseff was being given the treatment, Lula was reported to have been checked for rough voice.
