It seems each and every company is running to earn their niche place in the tech market, whether through claiming the world’s thinnest tablet, which Motorola is claiming, or by popularizing the tablet to be fastest one, which Asustek Computer has claimed recently.
Asustek Computer is boasting quad-core processor to be the reason for the speed of 10-inch Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet. It would have Nvidia's quad-core Tegra 3 processor and would also support Google's Android 3.2 OS. Like Motoraol, it is also eying on Android 4.0, which quite popularly known as Ice Cream Sandwich, but that would take time. Asus spokeswoman affirmed that it has been smartly priced between US$500 to $600.
Reason for difference in the amount lies in the configuration of the tablet and the 1.29 pounds weighing tablet would be available by the end of December.
Its quad-core chip would make it different from the league as other giants like a quad-core chip comes with dual core processors. Where web pages are becoming tough nuts to crack, the Transformer Prime would provide extra performance.
One of the principal analysts of the tablet, Nathan Brookwood affirmed, "If you need decent realism in the games, you'll need the same level of performance on PCs”.
With the help of quad-core chips, it would fasten the speed of gaming and there is no doubt that it would become darling for game lovers. There is no end to the benefit list of quad-core chips and some more advantages to have it in the tablet are facility of video editing and provision of light content creation.
Nvidia was of the view that its Tegra 3 chip has placed it one step further than its predecessors. The Transformer Prime tablet would be available in two types, 32GB and 64GB of storage but in both, it would have 1GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel flash camera.
