A petition has been filed by resident of Tennessee to the Obama Administration against the controversial video game “Skyrim”. It is being alleged that the video game is not in accordance with the safety of American youth.

It has also been informed that the video game has also depicted deprivation of social and ethical values. Besides, it has also lead to health problems among the youth. The controversial game has been developed by Bethesda Game Studios. The game can run on Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The concept of Skyrim is similar to that of “Game of Thrones” in which events take place just like in a great fantasy literature. The game captures the event of past 17 years and present events. However, in this particular game, the players are allowed to form their own world by using various tools of the game.

The game can addict its players as its graphic and liberty are catchy. As a user gets hooked to the graphics of the game, it is possible for him to spend many hours on the game in designing the plot and to make the character more powerful.

The critics are of the view that the game leads to wastage of time. Moreover, it deviate one’s mind from goals of their life. The petition filed by the residents has asked the authorities to destroy all copies of the game and to put a ban over it.

The resident who has filed the petition is aiming at getting sign of 25,000 people who have complaint against the same game. If the petition is signed by 25,000 people then the developer of the game would be prosecuted. It has also been recommended that national database of videogame avatars and “screen names” should be created so that teenagers can be better monitored.
