Maybach New Version on Hold till the Firm Balances its Sheets

It has been revealed in a recent report that the Maybach luxury line that was due for release by the year 2013 is now going to be put on hold. The reason for the same has been said to be need for cutting the losses being incurred by the firm. They were of the revelation that it would be a better idea to cut the losses with the holding back of the newest Maybach version of the car, rather that strutting forward with an uncertain future.

It’s a luxury car line with the most exotic features one would imagine in a car. The clientele the firm has is the most elite and well-off people who are crazy for luxury cars. In the recent deals struck by the firm, they were a little out of cash and were running into losses due to the bad sale of these cars, due to the economic turmoil in the world. The Mercedes- Benz firm has taken a wise and positive step by revealing that they shall currently give the new car a miss, and balance their sheets instead.

They were further of the revelation that when they can balance their books and gain a stable position in terms of their economic condition, they shall move forward with the new car. It is a sensible step as there is no point getting into newer ventures without planning for the future and with uncertainty. It will be a better call if the books are first balanced and then the new car is launched in the market, when the firm is capable of taking risks.

“Plans are already in place to fill the void left by the axing of the Maybach 57 and 62 with the next-generation S-class”, revealed an insider on the issue.
