Apple iPhone 5 Back in Rumors
Apple iPhone 5 Back in Rumors

Earlier this month, we heard some leaks about iPhone’s next generations. Following the rumors, the whispers are still not over about a larger touch screen for the iPhone 5.

To confirm the rumors, we have also got information that Hitachi and Sony have started shipping 4-inch LCD panels for a new Apple iOS device.

Though nothing has been cleared from the supply chain sources speaking Japanese at the site Macotakara, the shipping is pointing something fishy and possibilities are higher that the newly 4-inch display are being shipped to serve and fit the sixth-gen iPhone. Moreover, if we give it a thought then the suggestion definitely fits well with the leaks and rumors spread earlier in the month.

Reports have further confirmed that both the firms along with shipping the 4-inch panel are also shipping the LCD display for the iPad 3. Do you remember the third-gen tablet that was rumored to be the first to use a so-called Retina Display?

The device offered higher pixel density as compared to the existing 1024 x 768. Moreover, expectations also went higher to get served with double density of 2048 x 1536 with improved text rendering and crisper images.

Previous leaks suggest that Apple’s iPhone 5 will be lengthened by approximately 8mm to efficiently accommodate the increased screen size. Also, there are suggestions that the phone will be available in a metal casing.

As per sources, Apple’s suppliers have apparently started shipping the screens. According to Asian source, Hitachi Displays Ltd. and Sony Mobile Display Corporation started shipping 4-inch LCD for new iOS device and LCD for iPad 3. These 2 companies will merge their business with Toshiba Mobile Display Co. Ltd., as “Japan Display” in 2012 spring.
