Recent reports have revealed that using too many headers while playing soccer could not just lead to mild concussions and injuries but in fact, it might even lead to long-term brain damage.
And, it was revealed that the ones who had to hit the ball with their heads, more than 1000 times per year, could have dangerous consequences such as problems with the sight and memory of the people.
American researchers are of the view that it is essential that players safeguard themselves from hurt and injury in games. It is important that their heads are well protected and safe from injury while the game, as these hits on the head might lead to serious consequences.
This was after a report that revealed the results of 36 players, who were tested for damage in the head, after injury from the game.
It might lead to affecting one’s brain in the worst way and tend to leave irreparable damages to the body as well as brain of a person.
"What we've shown here is compelling evidence that there are brain changes that look like traumatic brain injury as a result of heading a soccer ball with high frequency”, revealed Dr. Lipton from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from New York.
It might lead to traumatic brain injuries as well as well as damages that might tend to stay with one for the entire life. It might lead to lacerating the nerve fibers of the brain and making one prone to further troubled conditions.
