American Women Bear Unnecessary Emotional Toll
Women-Emotional

Where American fathers take pride for doing multitasking, American mothers feel stressed out and guilty for not able to give more time to their families.

Increasingly American men are coming forward to share responsibilities of their wives by doing household work and managing kids, but it should not be mistaken that they are doing out of genuine concern for their better halves.

It is done to prove that they are also capable of doing multi tasking. It should be noted that no matter how hard they try, they would not be able to outpace women as they still devote nine hours more than men in a week.

In order to reach at above conclusion, the American Sociological Review published study was taken out for two years in which it enrolled 500 middles class families which have dual earners. In total, 16 families were taken, eight from urban communities while other eight were taken from suburban communities across the US.

Both men and women did equal footwork at work place, but it was women who were found to be doing extra legwork at home and public places. Multi tasking men were happy with a thought alone that they are now capable to do babysitting, while having phone call of clients but they had no clue that women were quite ahead of them.

Women were found to be regretting the fact that they have so engrossed in their lives that they are not able to give needed time to their families.

Study leader Barbara Schneider, who is a sociologist at Michigan State University, was of the view that through their study, they have tried across a thought that women undergoes undesired emotional toll. It should also be noted that there is no balance held for multitasking between men and women as she has greater responsibility of family on her shoulders.
