Health Minister Dashes off Rumours of Flesh-Eating Bananas in Mozambique

There are lingering rumors about banana shipments contaminated with the deadly "flesh-eating disease" as it has come to notice that sales of the same in Mozambique and South Africa has gone down. While all best efforts are done by authorities concerned to negate the rumors, fear could be seen among people about the same.

Even health minister has come out to defend that they have investigation the matter and nothing suspected has come out of the same. The team involved the Ministries of Agriculture, Health and Trade and Industry, which has found that there is no suspected consignment of infected banana shipped from Costa Rica.

It has also been reported that there was a hoax e-mail and text message that warned people about eating the infected bananas in the country, which made people scarier about the same. It has been told that the infected banana could affect one's skin, fat and tissue badly. Doctors' advice is being called for in case someone is found with any suspected symptom.

While the rumors are spreading here and there, people must not panic and must consult doctors in case of any concern.
