In a recent report, it has been made clear that the slick Xbox Live update would only be made available to users if they agree not to go against the company via class action lawsuits. However, they would have to agree for private settlement if there exists any discord between them.
"They may now bring a dispute to our attention by filling out a simple Notice of Dispute form found at www. xbox. com / notice and mailing in documentation in support of their claim", said the company.
Before this, Sony had done the same. This has been made clear that users would have to agree on this if they want to have use Xbox Live. However, there would be efforts made to resolve any disagreement within 60 days. Users would be allowed to start arbitration with the American Arbitration Association in case they don't find the process of negotiation fine.
Moreover, it has been made clear that Microsoft will kick start its Xbox Live online entertainment service. It is told that it would make subscribers to enjoy a wide array of mainstream television programming from the Xbox 360 console. There would be no hassle whatsoever with handling remote controls and the primitive program guides of cable boxes, and they would be able to get access to any function using voice commands and hand gestures but for that, they must have Kinect peripheral for the Xbox.
There are chances that by the end of the month, there would be inclusion of many other sources of programming to the service, including Verizon FiOS, Comcast's Xfinity and HBO, which would add more variety to the current services.
However, there are still negotiations going on between Microsoft and cable and content providers about content rights necessary to make users view content watched through their console.
